Affordability

Because Meals on Wheels of Western Broome is a private not-for-profit and does not receive state or federal funding, we do charge a fee for our meals.  But through grants, donations, and fundraising efforts, we are able to keep the cost affordable for everyone.

We accept payment by credit card, personal check, some long-term care insurances, and SNAP benefits.

Q: Do I have to have “low income” to get MOWWB?

A: Meal service is available to any homebound senior in need, regardless of income.  All clients of MOWWB are charged the same fee.  The fee is less than what it costs the organization to prepare the meal.

Choice Menu

This is the Meals on Wheels of Western Broome ‘Choice Menu’.  A paper copy of this menu is delivered with your meal before the next month starts.  Please circle either ‘Menu A’ or ‘Menu B’ for each day.  If you do not make any choice, you will automatically receive Menu ATo cancel a day, please mark an “X” through the entire day.

Return your menu to the next volunteer.   Your choices will be recorded in our system and your menu will be returned to you.  If you choose not to return your menu, you will receive ‘Menu A‘ each day

When signing on, you agree to a minimum of five service days before you can cancel.  To continue with the service long-term, you must receive meals at least 3 days per week.
