We Are Here

We also offer weekend, holiday, and emergency meals for those times when our office is closed, especially when meal service is suspended due to inclement weather.  Should you need these meals, just ask!  Our staff will be happy to set you up.

Meals on Wheels of Western Broome closes only for the six major holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

What are the benefits of Meals on Wheels?

  • Clients receive proper nutrition, companionship, and are enabled to live independently.
  • Caregivers receive peace of mind, knowing their loved ones are being checked on daily.
  • Meal-delivery volunteers receive satisfaction and feel a deep connection with their neighbors.
  • Taxpayers save on health care costs.

Q: Do I have to have “low income” to get MOWWB?

A: Meal service is available to any handicapped, homebound or convalescent adult. Clients of MOWWB are charged a fee. The fee is half of what it costs the organization to prepare the meal.

Choice Menu

This is the Meals on Wheels of Western Broome ‘Choice Menu’. A paper copy of this menu is delivered with your meal before the next month starts. Please circle either ‘Menu A’ or ‘Menu B’ for each day. Return your menu to the office with the next volunteer. Your choices will be recorded on our system and your menu will be returned to you. If you choose not to return the menu then you will receive ‘Menu A’ each day. Please call the office 754-7856 if you have any questions.
